Dixieland Delight

The Dixieland Delight Band performs “Hot Jazz” which is a style of music that developed in New Orleans and spread to Chicago and New York City in the 1910’s. Dixieland Jazz combines brass band marches, French Quadrilles, ragtime and blues. Performing with collective, polyphonic improvisation by trumpet, trombone and clarinet over a rhythm section of piano, banjo and drums, this is Dixieland. They will perform songs such as “Bill Bailey”, “Sweet Georgia Brown”, “Bye, Bye Blackbird”, “When the Saints Come Marching In” to name a few. This is fun, festive All American Music.
