Mitch Herrick & the Homegrown Sinners

Mitch Herrick was born into a family that valued art above everything. His creativity was nourished by his mother who studied music from childhood and his father who was a well-known painter that studied with Norman Rockwell. With passion, art, and turmoil at the family’s forefront, Mitch began writing as an outlet to navigate through tough times. When his mom passed away at young age, Mitch put music aside to concentrate on academic pursuits, but eventually the music in his blood called him back to performing. For over a decade, Mitch has honed his talent while playing with a number of different musicians and participating in various projects along the way. He is most notably known for his involvement with the South Florida based band SOSOS, but has always maintained his own identity as an independent original songwriter and performer. Mitch is driven by any opportunity to glean knowledge from his fellow artists. He’s had a vast education, having shared the stage with some exceptional musicians such as Robin Thicke, Kid Rock, Goo Goo Dolls, Cake, Ellie Goulding, Alice In Chains, Blues Traveler, The Whalers, Dick Dale, Dropkick Murphy’s, Rusted Root, Sublime with Rome, Blind Melon, Pretty Lights, The Avett Brothers, Michael Franti and Spearhead, G Love and Special Sauce, Donavon Frankenreiter, Poco, Jason Isbel, State Radio, Toad The Wet Sprocket, Yonder Mountain String Band, Donna The Buffalo, Del McCory Band, J Cole, The Doobie Bros, Dirty Heads, Trombone Shorty, Inner Circle, Rebolution, Ozomatli, Tribal Seeds, Punch Brothers, JJ Grey, Anders Osbourne, Marc Broussard, Steep Canyon Rangers, Green Sky Bluegrass, Orleans, Bobby Lee Rogers, The Gin Blossoms, The Heavy Pets, & Beverly McClellan from The Voice.
